Description
The PM-IMGT-330S model is an inverter welder, the design of which is based on efficient IGBT transistors. It is equipped with an LCD display showing the current welding current, set with the buttons (+/-).The IGBT transistor combines the advantages of two types of transistors, the ease of control of field-effect transistors and high breakdown voltage as well
The welder is equipped with a fan cooling the electronics and other components - the "Turbo FAN" function, as well as a thermal sensor that protects the device from overheating.
The device welds with current from 20 to 330A, allows you to weld with an electrode with a diameter of 1.6mm to 4mm. The weight of the welder is only 3.6 kg, which makes it very handy. It also has a carrying strap for easy work at heights.
Welding with a 1.6mm electrode is already possible with a 16A class C slow-blow fuse. Operation with a maximum current of 330A requires a protection of at least 20A.
TURBO-FAN fan
Thanks to the use of a large fan in the small housing of the welder, the air flow was increased, which lowered the temperature of the transistors. The device's efficiency is as high as 60%.
Welding current
The welding current can be quickly adjusted in the range of 20-330A. Just press (hold) the + or - button and set the Amperage you want.
Convenient transportation
The small dimensions of the device facilitate transport and welding with the device suspended on the arm.
MMA welding
The MMA mode is the electrode welding mode. After setting the appropriate value with the (+/-) button, the display will show the current welding current and, additionally, it will automatically show which electrode to choose for the given current.
VRD function
A voltage reduction system designed to turn the power off within milliseconds after welding is finished. This function is also responsible for reducing the voltage at the stick electrode to a safe level. The VRD function can only be activated for MMA mode by holding the SET button for 5 seconds and deactivated in the same way.
HOT START function
HOT START, commonly known as hot start, enables the welding current to be temporarily increased above the value set by the welder. HOT START works when the arc is struck and is designed to prevent the electrode from sticking to the material. It is a great help when lighting the electrode. To enter the adjustment setting, simply press the SET button until the indicator on this icon appears. The adjustable range of this function is from 0 - 60.
ARC FORCE function
ARC FORCE stabilizes the arch regardless of its length. Regulates the dynamics of the welding arc. Reducing the function values gives a soft arc and a smaller fusion depth, while increasing the function values causes deeper penetration and the possibility of short arc welding. At the highest value for the ARC FORCE function, it is possible to "press the electrode into the molten metal pool and burn the material through. To enter the adjustment setting, just press the SET button until the indicator on this icon appears. The adjustment range of this function is from 0 - 60.
Additionally
The ANTI STICK function cuts / minimizes the welding voltage and current in the event of a short-circuit between the electrode and the material to be welded. ANTI STICK allows the welder to detach the electrode more easily. This function works automatically.
